How do you single out one color in a photo and the rest of it be black and white using photoshop?

I have no idea what funtion to use. Like if I was wearing a blue shirt, I want to be able to only have the shirt color blue and have the rest of the photo black and white. How do I do it?How do you single out one color in a photo and the rest of it be black and white using photoshop?

well heres how to do it !


first upload your picture!


than click layer%26gt;new layer !


than click image%26gt;adjustments%26gt;black %26amp; white !


than your whole picture is black and white .


than click layer%26gt;new layer !


than get your eraser tool that looks like an eraser


(the 11th one going down) .


you change the brush sizes %26amp; than


just start click the part where you want


it to be color !


its really easy !

You have a lot of possibilities of how to keep the shirt, but how to make the black and white part, you should go have a look at something like http://av.adobe.com/russellbrown/CS3Color_To_BWSM.mov or http://av.adobe.com/russellbrown/BlackWhiteVariationsSM.mov
Select the portion of the photo you want to be in color, hit Select %26gt; Inverse, then Desaturate (I think it's under Tools)
