I have brought Photoshop 7 for dummies and couldn't really see anything in it about editing people, skin tones and airbrushing. I would be very gratefull if you could guide me in the right direction for a guide book to help me on this matter?Whats the best guide book for editing digital portraits on photoshop 7. I am new to photo editing?
Have a look at http://www.dcmag.co.uk/ and although it mainly covers CS3 and elements, there is not a lot of difference.
Also, join http://www.redbubble.com/ where you will be able to join groups like those listed below.

TheAdobre is an English fashion photographer who has written some fantastic books on this subject. His name is Martin Evening and his latest book is called:
';Adobe Photoshop for photographers';.
Try your library as well. Personally I stay clear of the ';For Dummies'; books. You're NOT a dummy and I find these books 'talk down to you' rather than provide clear instructions.
Hint for airbrushing, there is a special brush which you can set at a low opacity and make very slight changes. Personally I use the ';Healing Brush'; (I us Adobe CS3) . Apply at 100 % and immediate go to EDIT-%26gt;FADE HEALING BRUSH.
Cheers,
Nick
Current version of Photoshop is version 11. I can't even remember what version 7 could do.
Adobe Lightroom (called Adobe Photoshop Lightroom) has similar fine editing functions. http://www.adobe.com/lightroom that you may find easier to use.
