I hate the way the default settings for all brushes on photoshop have spacing. Is there a way to make it so that I dont have to change it myself every time I change the brush size? Im using photoshop cs2 on windows vista. How can I change the default brush setting on photoshop?
Yes, just make certain no file is open in Photoshop, and change the settings for any tool. Next time you open Photoshop your settings should be remembered for any file.

They make using the Polygonal Lasso tool look alot easier than it is, but you will perfect it with a little practice. It's the only way to get crystal clear results.
I hope this helps - good luck.

Well with a lot of black cars there just won't be enough color information to change the color and not have it look a little strange. Here's an example I made from a black car I found, I used Hue / Sat with the colorize option.

There are a lot of things you can do with Photoshop. The main thing i think most people use photoshop for is editing more than creating so that might be a good place to start. I suggest getting familiar with the tools first before really getting into it.
Do a google search for photoshop tutorials, there are loads of free ones out there that will take you through the basics.
Photoshop is a very advanced tool, and there is so much you can do with it you will be amazed.
Good luck
Make a target for a project like publishing your pictures online.
This gives you a reason for playing around with graphic programs.
You'll really get moving this way.
Lynda.com do the most wonderful PS training videos. There is a monthly charge but as they cover nearly every available graphics package, it represents really good value for money. There are other training packages but they demand either a much higher subscription rate or the purchase of a CD. The first videos are free so why don't you give them a try.
Good luck. I'm so envious...it looks a really marvellous program and there a so many wonderful websites with tremendous ideas for its users.

Always use plumbers grease when replacing faucet seals? In Photoshop what is the best way convert color to B&W?
I am out of grease but I have the seals. Don't want to run back to the store.
I know about desaturate but it seems primitive and crass. Any other suggestions?Always use plumbers grease when replacing faucet seals? In Photoshop what is the best way convert color to B%26amp;W?
No grease will over time cause abrading which will shorten the life of the seals.
Set Saturation to -100
Use the Levels tool to adjust the black threshold, white threshold and then use the mid-tone slider to produce the ';best'; image in your opinion.
This all depends upon you using a calibrated computer monitor.Always use plumbers grease when replacing faucet seals? In Photoshop what is the best way convert color to B%26amp;W?
Desaturate is not really that usefull for black and white conversion.
Use the monochrome checkbox in channel mixer when converting to black and white. Alternatively, use the rgb channels. Delete the channels you don't want then convert your image back to greyscale/rgb. Finally use Levels to adjust the black and highlight points. Move the middle slider to adjust lightness and darkness. Then use Curves to increase contrast by making a slight S bend.
Use the channel Mixer when converting to Black and White
Mix how much red, blue, cyan, and all other colours in there to get the black and white that suits your needs.
De saturation and conversion to Gray scale barely cuts for my black and white needs.
Usually I do the Marc Williams method:
I use a BW Gradient map, then adjust levels to taste.
Occasionally I use channel mixers. I do sepia tone in channels.
Have no idea about plumber's grease.
The best way is to use Nik software 'Silver Efex Pro'..

I absolutely love this software.
