A friend of mine gave me a computer and it had photoshop installed. I tried to do some of the tutorials from the Adobe website and feel comfortable doing the basic stuff, but I want to learn how to use some of the different effects and things. If I google help, there are so many different websites that come up, I don't even know where to begin. Does anyone have any suggestions?Are there any good photoshop websites that teach you how to do some of the effects?

Many effects in graphics are done with plug in filters, there are many on the internet and there are many free ones. Adobe is one of the major types of plug in filters that are available.
