How can I make a certain part of a picture transparent in either paint or Adobe Photoshop?

I have a small picture, btu I need to make the white background transparent in order to see th other pictures behind it proberly (its gnna be going on the internet and each picture will need to be put on seperatly).

You can export a transparent GIF from the Help menu (of all places!) There is an option that runs a wizard and it is the easiest thing you have ever done. During the export, you will probably have to select the white area that you wish to be made transparent.





Just Click Help -%26gt; Export Transparent Image.
