You gotta have the Mac version. More and more people are making the Mac and PC versions on the same disk, like the newer versions of Flash and Dreamweaver and such, and even games like the Sims 3 and Spore.
Look at the disk. If it says WINMAC, it's compatible with both. If it just says one or the other, well you get the idea. If you have just a Windows version, it's not going to work. If it's WINMAC or Mac, you install it just like you install anything else on a Mac. Put in the disk, double click on it when it shows up on the desktop and open the installer. Thats because there are 2 versions of Photoshop Elements, the windows and the mac. The latest mac version of Photoshop Elements would be 6.0. You can find more information here and download a trial version.

You will need the Mac version. The PC version will not install on a Mac. This is just one of the problems you will experience with your Mac. Windows versions of programs do not work on Mac's.
